DESCRIPTION:
We just signed a contract to make a game for WADA that will teach an international audience of kids about doping in sports by allowing them to explore the consequences of doping. The game will have 2 parts that sort of influence each other. One will be a first-person "adventure" game with still shots of rooms and objects (similar to "escape" games) but also still shots of characters that you can talk to. (The characters expressions may change as you talk to them but otherwise they aren't animated). The other part of the game is an "action" 2D sidescroller. We're leaning towards an easy to animate stick-figure style for the action game. (The client loves Fancy Pants). The two games tie in to each other.

We're looking for either 1 artist who can fit both styles, or 2 artists, one for each style. For the action game we'd really like someone who has some experience animating for games. For the adventure game we need someone who's good at drawing room-scenes, objects, and people. User Interface design is also a plus. We're still trying to get the client to finalize an art style, but I expect the adventure game will have a somewhat comic-book look and feel.

We'll need someone who got some free time mid to late January (concept) and throughout February (production) and March (revisions).

FYI we won't hold you to your bid here. We're more interested in someone with a strong portfolio who will be available Jan through March to work with us part time. You can just bid with a token amount if you're interested and we can discuss money and how long you think you'll need for each task as we finalize them.
